A1 starts Christmas campaign in support of the "For the Good" foundation and the "Firefly" project to transform the material and emotional environment in children's hospital wards in our country.
The telecom will round all bills paid by private customers in the My A1 application or portal to the nearest lev. If the bill is, for example, BGN 20.19, the difference from 81 cents to BGN 21 will be added by A1, not by the customer.
The campaign will run from November 14th to December 31st, after which A1 will donate its own funds equal to the amount collected during the rounding of the accounts. These will be used for the next Firefly project.
"This Christmas, A1 will be rounding up for good. In this way, we want not only to support the cause of the Foundation "For Good" to renovate and transform a children's hospital ward, but also to make our customers empathetic to this noble campaign. For this purpose, they only need to use the new technologies and pay their bill through My A1, and we will donate our own funds, equal to the symbolic rounding of their bill," commented Iliana Zaharieva, Director of Corporate Communications at A1 Bulgaria.
In parallel with the collection of funds from the payments made through My A1, the Foundation "For Good" will accept on your site the applications for the "Svetulka" department, which will be transformed with the funds from the campaign. At the beginning of 2023, the "For the Good" team will evaluate the applications according to the pre-announced criteria, and for this purpose will select the departments and visit them on site. One of them will go through a complete change – modern medical equipment will be provided, the material base will be renewed and enriched with therapeutic drawings. The friendly environment is the basis for the creation of a new healing emotional space, at the center of which is the child patient.
The idea of a hospital that doesn't look like a hospital drives all our Firefly projects. A cozy space with personalized corners helps the child overcome the stress of being sick, stay socialized, and not feel isolated. It also helps parents overcome the shock of their child's illness. The second step is to change the relationship between the child, his parents and the doctors. "Psychologists have long explained the connection between the environment, the emotional state and the speed of healing, and the first "fireflies" - in Aitos and in Silistra, are the clear example of the beneficial impact of change.
