We opened the second full-day care center for children from Ukraine "Centre dyatichiy posmishok" on April 11 together with the Organization of Jews in Bulgaria "Shalom" and the Jewish Cultural House - our great friends and partners.
Already on the first day, in just 5 hours, the capacity of the center in the Jewish Cultural House was filled. He works with two groups of 20 children aged 4-11.
They are cared for by the kind-hearted Ukrainians Maria Evdokymenko, Kateryna Smolyanaya, Anna Romanyuk and Anna Shlyanina, the entire team of the Jewish Cultural House and the volunteers of "For the Good".
The center worked for 6 months and welcomed more than 200 children. Here they found a safe and cozy home where they feel protected, study and play sports, sing and paint, dream. And we provided their mothers with time to work, to start their lives again after the horror that befell their homeland.
All additional equipment for the center - all of it - was donated by sympathetic people: carpets, poufs, cushions, shelves.
The organization of Jews in Bulgaria "Shalom" and the Jewish Cultural House, Prof. Alexander Oscar and Yulia Dandolova generously gave strength, support and inspiration that the children, their parents and volunteers will never forget.
It was a priceless time for everyone. With a lot of warmth, empathy, humanity and children's noise.
