Активна кампания The Fund for the Children of Heroes provides grants of 500 leva monthly/6000 leva yearly to children of doctors, medical workers and teachers who passed away due to Covid-19. The Fund was created during the second wave of the pandemic when tens of doctors, medical workers and teachers lost their lives. They continued their medical and educational work despite the threat to their health. They left their children and their children lost a parent. The grants are our way of saying "thank you" for these parents' sacrifice. While they can't bring any consolation they can offer support to families. These funds can help bereaved children to continue learning and developing. You can read their stories at the Fund's Facebook page: Fund #forthechildrenofheroes | Facebook. Together we'll support them while they grow, with care and attention. At the end of 2021 there are 26 recipients aged 3 to 17 years old. They'll receive grants...

Friends, we follow the war in Ukraine with pain and anguish, and from day one we think about ways we can help. We considered not just how to be useful, but also how to support as effectively as possible the hundreds of families who were forced to leave their homes, leave their jobs, dress their children and flee to Bulgaria with a single backpack to save themselves from the war. They are our brothers, sisters, and children, and this war has turned into a war against civilization. Those who arrive, but also those who stay there, need the support and strength of the good in us. We believe that human goodness is stronger than missiles, tanks, and bombs, and as long as we can, we will fight for this faith with all available resources. We did not start the campaign on the first day, as many organizations had already done so. Too many campaigns...

Dear friends, „Muzeiko“, „America for Bulgaria" Foundation, „Za Dobroto“ Foundation , „Teach for Bulgaria" Foundation, „Education without backpacks“ Foundation and the MindFit team joined forces to open a day care, creativity and education centre for children driven out by the war in Ukraine. Working every day from Monday to Friday from 9:30 to 17:00. The most painful sight is that of a frightened small child. Tears rolling down the cheeks silently. We saw children like that many times in the last 9 days - Masha, Viktoria, Lerka...

We are launching a new campaign, we don’t know its end and how broad it will become. This is Project Firefly. 1. Children’s feelings, a friendly hospital environment, preserving the social integration of hospitalized children  - this is Project Firefly. The treatment and recovery of child patients depend not only on the living conditions in the hospital and the quality of treatment, but also on the emotional state of the child. Getting seriously sick is a huge stress for any child and their family. This is further enhanced by the fact that the child is removed from their usual daily environment and routine. Medical manipulations and isolation become the new and incomprehensible everyday routine for the child, and this greatly increases the risk of lasting emotional trauma. Psychologists describe the perfect healing environment for sick children as “a hospital that does not look like one” which can have tremendous influence on the quality and the...

Closed campaign. “ZaDobroto” Foundation donated equipment to support the efforts of the medical workers of the Specialized Children’s Hospital “Prof. Dr. Ivan Mitev''. The hospital’s chronic difficulties are intensified by the Covid-19 wave that also affects children. This is the reason behind the donation. It was organized in a few hours after the meeting of the Chairperson of the Foundation, Kremena Kuneva, with the Head of the Children's Covid-19 Department, Dr. Margarita Ganeva. The Covid sector in the hospital has 5 beds, two of them are neonatal. All 5 beds are occupied. Two of the children are in intensive care and are fighting for their lives. In recent weeks, children have been waiting for hospitalization every day – one of the small patients must be released for another to be admitted in the hospital. The Covid sector is "assembled with materials at hand" - from the available equipment and human resources in the...
