Enroll for Payroll Giving

Payroll giving is an easy way for employees in any company to donate monthly a small amount directly from their salary. Thus, employers and employees together support common charitable causes.

In many cases, donating requires a little more time and effort – choosing a cause and sending your donation to it. With payroll giving, the company transfers monthly employees’ donations to the Foundation and saves extra efforts.

Employees who want to donate determine once a small amount of money they would give to a good cause. Afterwards, it is up to the company’s Payroll department to ensure that employees’ donations reach the recipients.

Employers often encourage payroll giving by doubling or adding extra money to the donated funds. According to the Bulgarian legislation donations are tax privileged.

Employees who donate can change their choice of donation at any time – whether, how much or to whom to donate. The small amount they decide to donate can also be distributed to different causes.

Deciding to donate by payroll requires that you complete a one-time donation declaration.

The Cause

ZaDobroto Foundation has established a Fund for the Children of Heroes – doctors, medics and teachers who have died of Covid-19 while fulfilling their missions.

The grant amount of BGN 500 per month/ BGN 6,000 per year for each child until they reach the age of 18 or complete their secondary education. As of June 4, 2021, the grant recipients of the fund are 23 children, aged between 3 and 17 years.

Through these resources, the Fund supports children and gives them the opportunity to continue their education, without suffering any additional material privations, that inevitably result from the death of a parent at an active age.

Accountability

It is important for us that donors know what and how their money is spent – this is part of our relationship of trust and respect. Therefore, every month we prepare reports on the use of the money and inform the benefactors in a convenient way for them, via e-mails.

Before the end of the financial year, each benefactor receives a certificate/ letter of appreciation for the donations made by him/her.

The Fund informs donors, at least once a year, about children’s development – their challenges and successes.

The Fund regularly informs donors about the meetings of the Public Council, which take decisions on the granting of new scholarships.

You will find the rules of operations of the Fund for the Children of Heroes and the criteria for awarding scholarships to the children of doctors and teachers, who have died from Covid-19, in the invitation for partnership.

We are ready to answer any of your questions and present our causes in detail.
