Silence now means complicity! We at the For Good Foundation make a categorical appeal to pediatricians, all doctors, medical specialists, parents, and citizens to realize that we can no longer hope to get away with it.
An urgent, consistent and targeted national policy for children's healthcare is needed that puts children at the center, provides decent working conditions and real funding, and restores the meaning of the profession for those medics who are still at their jobs and ask themselves every day "is it worth it?".
And until this happens, a firm civic position is needed!
We need to declare it daily, as many times as necessary and in whatever form is necessary!
Today there will be no one to operate on your child in Varna and you will have to drive to Burgas. Tomorrow it will turn out that the nearest hospital with a specialist is too far away. Children's healthcare did not suddenly fall into a coma. We cannot act surprised. We have been reading the predictions of what is happening and what awaits us for years.
If we continue to delay our reaction, tomorrow there may be no one or nothing to save!
In this regard, we have prepared many questions for the Ministry of Health and the manager of @MBAL St. Anna, because apparently no one cares about the fact that closing this surgery could cost a child's life.
We also join the protest of
I Believe and Help, which will be organized on Thursday, February 5th at 5:30 PM in the courtyard of the hospital in Varna and we will try to organize a protest at the same time in Sofia.
