Faith in goodness begins with small steps. Sometimes – with children’s hands that extend not only gifts, but also hearts. The students from German School Sofia – German School Sofia did just that, by collecting and donating 3,000 leva during their Christmas market in support of our cause – Project Firefly.
With this warm and inspiring initiative, the school community chose to be part of our mission – to transform the hospital environment in the children's wards of the Dupnitsa Hospital and Elin Pelin HospitalWe believe that the new environment – more functional, colorful, welcoming and cozy – will give young patients what they need most during treatment: a sense of security, peace and care.
As a sign of appreciation, the "For Good" team presented the students with a special certificate. But even more valuable to us is their gesture, filled with humanity and kindness. We also received a beautiful message from the students, addressed to future patients and the medical teams in the wards. This is a message that will remain in the heart of every child who has set foot in the renovated hospital rooms.
We thank the German School Sofia from the bottom of our hearts for this beautiful example of empathy and conscious civic participation. Your contribution is much more than financial assistance – it is a light that ignites more fireflies.
